Does anybody remember the puppet show that came on before the Howdy Doody show? It had a puppet magician.?
It may have had the musical theme ‘Trepak" form the Nutcracker. Or, maybe that was from another show?

Could you be thinking of "The Magic Clown"
The show featured a clown, at first referred to only as "The Magic Clown," but later renamed Bonomo after the show’s sponsor, performing magic tricks, sometimes with the help of his puppet Laffy.
