There’s a movie I saw when I was young (either 80’s or 90’s) that I can’t remember for the life of me and it’s driving me insane!! The only things I can remember from it was it was set in the 50’s and it was about 4 (i think) boys that were friends and one had a wooden leg. At one point in the movie the kid with the wood leg enters a Howdy Doody look-a-like contest and wins.

Can anyone help me out?? Thanks!!
